Now it will be much harder to get a residence permit on apartments in Akureyri where the town authorities have issued a regulation that no accommodation permits shall be allowed in category II accommodation in areas where the plan is expected to be residential.
These apartments are not located in a residential area, but in a commercial area, and therefore a future residence permit will not be a problem.
